Kaley Christine Cuoco ( born November 30, 1985, in Camarillo, California, height 5' 6" (1,68 m)) is an American film and television actress and singer.She is best known for her roles as Bridget Hennessy on the sitcom 8 Simple Rules, Billie Jenkins on the supernatural drama Charmed, and Penny on the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.Cuoco has also appeared in the films Lucky 13 (2005), The Penthouse (2010), and Hop (2011).Early lifeKaley Cuoco was born in Camarillo, California to realtor Gary Carmine Cuoco and homemaker Layne Ann Wingate.Gary is of Italian descent while Layne is of English and German descent.Her younger sister Briana is a dancer and made appearances on the online web series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries as Mary Bennet and also was a contestant on NBC's The Voice, Season 5.As a child, Cuoco was once a nationally-ranked amateur tennis player, a sport she took up when she was 3 years old.She stopped playing at 16 in 2002.Personal lifeWhile working on The Big Bang Theory, Cuoco dated her co-star Johnny Galecki for roughly two years.They kept their relationship private until they broke up.Cuoco and Galecki have since remained on good terms.She became engaged to addiction specialist Josh Resnik in October 2011, but they had ended their engagement by March 2012. Cuoco subsequently became engaged to professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting in September 2013, after three months of dating.They married on December 31, 2013 in Santa Susana, California.
